What did the Spirit say to this Fellowship at 2000 Celebration?
Scripture states, "In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall
every word be established" (2 Corinthians 13:1). Here are some
observations that have been confirmed by many who have written,
called or spoken to us:
We must rely upon the anointing of the Holy Spirit for the work
of the ministry preaching, teaching, worshiping, giving,
singing to be effective. The anointing blesses, lifts, encourages
and strengthens.
We must continue to build the church of Jesus Christ through
prayer and fasting. Wherever God is moving India, Africa,
Brazil, Singapore, Korea, Staten Island or small-town U.S.A.
prayer and fasting are moving the hand of God.
We must reach people outside the church by loving them through
caring, compassion ministries. With evangelism must come discipleship
bringing people to maturity in Christ and grounding them
in the Word of God. Then the Lord will add to the church daily those
who are being saved because He can trust us with newborn babes.
We must keep the altars open in our churches. We saw that
people respond to preaching, worship and testimonies when the altars
are opened for them to pray for healing, to receive the baptism
in the Holy Spirit, to rededicate their lives to the Lord or to
be saved. This was evident the first night when an RCA Dome security
guard gave his heart to the Lord and on the final night when hundreds
of young people anointed pastors, general superintendents, world
leaders and laypeople who in turn anointed the young people.
We must preach our four cardinal doctrines: salvation, divine
healing, baptism in the Holy Spirit and the second coming of Jesus
Christ. Gods people are hungry for Bible-based preaching and
teaching. Then Mark 16:20 becomes reality: "And they went forth,
and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming
the word with signs following."
We must continue as a worldwide Fellowship to come together
for inspiration, instruction, fellowship and challenge. Many testified
of what God has wrought because this Fellowship is organized and
is using its structure, resources and personnel and is casting vision
for the 21st century.
We heard, felt and saw this: Stay with what has brought this Fellowship
to the 21st century, and the God of the first century will continue
to build His church.
