Prayer partners

By Kaylin Brooke

I’m 11 years old and I believe in the power of prayer.

In 2002, my great-grandmother Betty Anderson was only using 30 percent of her lungs because they were filled with fluid. She went to lung specialists and was told she only had one year to live. She went to the specialists monthly for five months and each time had to have at least a liter of fluid drained from her right lung.

Every night I would pray for my great-grandmother and ask God to heal her. My family has strong faith in God. On her last visit to the lung specialists, the doctor told my great-grandmother that her lungs were empty.

My great-grandmother called and told me the miracle. Now she calls me her “prayer partner.” I truly believe she was healed by the power of God and it is a miracle. She is alive and well today, nearly three years later.

Betty Anderson attends Life Assembly of God in Kissimmee, Fla. (Duke C. Matlock, pastor).
