Small school? Big career plans? No problem.

 

What do you want to be?

A Fortune 500 company executive? A missionary? Teacher? Dentist? Lawyer? Pastor? College football coach?

I have friends and family members who aspired to such things while in college. Today they are making their livings and fulfilling the vision God gave them.

• Phil works for a Fortune 500 company.

• Scott is a missionary in Tanzania.

• Sherilynn is a teacher.

• Xavier is a dentist.

• Tim is a lawyer.

• Kevin is a pastor.

• Chuck is a college football coach.

They all have at least one thing in common; they did their undergraduate work at Assemblies of God colleges or universities. Today they are excelling at their jobs and working alongside people who have gone to schools like Duke, Kentucky, Arizona and UCLA.

The point is, if God wants you working at a Fortune 500 company or on a mission field or in a school, dentist’s office, courtroom, church or even on a football field at a secular university, He’ll get you there no matter if everyone has heard of your school or not.

So, why not go to an AG college or university — for at least your freshman year — where your beliefs, morals and ethics will be upheld and strengthened in the classroom and throughout the campus?

There is nothing wrong with spending your college years in a place that is good for you. Plus, you will confound people when you tell them about the small AG school that set you on a trail of achievement.
